But at least with SecuRom problem, people had choice to not update the windows or if they had updated, they could revert back. Microsoft updated their OS to remove SecuRom support, so people had problems. I understand Valve doesn't have to do anything to old games but if new purchasers can't play it, why do they allow them to buy those games? And people paid for those games years before yet they still change, remove things not just fixing bugs in the way of people would not want.
